For sale sign that has popped up at the church across the road from our house seems a bit excessive... Doubt there are passing church buyers on our tiny quiet street!

Decided to take a punt on buying and trying some Serato control vinyl with Mixxx, and it seems to work pretty well!

Mixxx is the only real option due to the mixer ASIO drivers for low latency being 32-bit only... and all the other software having gone 64-bit by now.

This Denon mixer was a real bargain at $149 given it's full Midi and supports DVS directly. If the official drivers were updated to 64-bit it'd be awesome, but I can dream.

Some more smooth music to go well with a cup of tea this evening ๐Ÿ™‚

Office depot had a half decent chair on sale, so my guest room -> home office takeover is complete. Fun on the left, earning on the right ๐Ÿ˜€

You win some, you lose some. Truncated lunchtime ride after dodging mowers on the trail, and the rain started.

Decided to have another bit of a go at digital DJing sometime soon. Can't buy an unlimited number of records. Getting setup... the vintage Thinkpad has been de-linuxed and have done the dance for the long unmaintained Denon mixer drivers that are Windows only.

@snowdusk itโ€™s cheesy but better than whatever David Guetta has done to it ๐Ÿ˜‰

Had a nice 32 mile trip to the Lewisville Lake Copperas Point and back on my bike today. It is certainly warming up here now.

โ€œYou have until the song ends to put on your pajamas and brush your teethโ€ is not the motivation I was hoping it would be.

Kid bath times are better with music applied to partially cover the sounds of playful screaming, and the splashing of water all round parts of the room that arenโ€™t meant to get wet.

Success! Both raspberry Pis now gainfully employed. Pi 4 serving music, and Pi 3 spying on the back garden to see what's digging in our raised beds!

Has only taken me about 2 years to get them both doing useful things ๐Ÿ™‚

Making some mulch on a cooler day. This thing is surprisingly decent for a cheap electric wood chipper.

Bike tire that failed the other day gave out in an interesting way, and got to see it from the inside now I've changed the tire for a new one tonight... Rubber completely separated from the threads on the inside where it failed. Looks like the pothole may have tickled a manufacturing defect.

In other news, I have just been informed that @donadoodlebug is ordering this t-shirt for me, and it is mandatory ๐Ÿ™‚

His and hers Thinkpads that were $220 total. Re-using corporate cast offs that spent their past life in a docking station is definitely a recommended cheap way to compute. ๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ’ป
